That's v. nice; I like the tight framing.
It reminds me of Don Barnett's work - all of you should drop by http://www.donbarnett.com

Apologies about not knowing how to link directly

Never mind; it worked! Je suis une champion.

After posting the subject, I realize no one would likely check this one out.... I don't do spaceships (sometimes barbarians & Knights )

~thanks everyone who took the time to respond.

~thanks corvax for showing me Barnett's work, I've never seen his stuff before. Very cool.

mza - I like it alot.... and corvax great comparison.. my critique would be to add some clarity to the foreground element, it will really push out some nice perspective in the pic.... but nonetheless good job....

and what's the idea behind the workshopcrew???? good collection of artists there...

haha mza

it might not be because it's not a spaceship. I sometimes forget that artists can't hear me going "ooooh" when I open up their post. I need to remember to actually type it out :P

I really like this pic, as well as your knight you posted earlier. You've got great colors working together--I'd like to see a larger version if you have one.

I was wondering about the workshop crew too-I was checking out the page and it looks like you've got a great group of artists. How was it formed?

Just a bunch of my friends from art college(AAC,SF). Making a website was a way of keep everyone in touch. The name came about from us hanging around so many of the free drawing/painting workshops (there's a workshop every evening for students and alumni). Mostly there for those who needed more practice, but it soon became a place for life drawing junkies to hang out. I felt peer pressure if I didn't show up to them!

I've been told by students at AAC now, that people are being so competitive....students are more envious of those who have skills, and those who have them aren't willing to share with others.
I was fortunate to go though school at a time where so many were eager to learn, and learn from one another.

Thanks for checking out our work!
