Okay I know almost everyone here has done people, orcs, other froms of creatures, and scences, but has anyone done a car. If you have post it. I want to see what realistic cars people have.
Here's mine from last year!
It was done in illustartor 9, but I want to know if anyone's done it in PS.

That looks great! Although fantasy and game inspired stuff is great to look at, it would be nice to see more stuff like cars, product design, etc.
Nice work Jabber - how long did it take? How did you do it? Did you start with a placed rastar image and build layers on top? |

nice job on the car.
add details to parts of the car and it would look almost real, i think. |

It took me about 2 days in Illustrator 9. It was my first illustartor project I had ever done. First we had to find a picture of a car out of like a magazine. Repaint it then do it on computer. Once you paint it you get most of the shape memorized so it's easier to do on the computer. I did the main color (red) first on the bottom layer and worked on the detail from there. We had to scan it into our computer and work off the scan.
This one was for last year and we have to do another on e this year. She's giving us 2 weeks. She says we can use ps after we've done the basic to get better detail. |

Looks good. I hate trying to do complex gradients in Vector!
oh, btw, on your page you need a space imbetween the 'LastpageNextpage' |

These are really old. All traditional media (markers, guache, colored pencils, ink).

Jabber - your car certainly has that polished, vector look. Have you considered trying a more painterly but digital approach akin to Ratty's traditional stuff? |

I've done that car in tempra paint as well ( I need to post some of my board work). We had to keep the same car for both projects. Mine this year I just on computer and it too I a newer car. I don't like the way it's turning out though. When I get more done on it I'll post it.
Ian Jones - Yeah I know about the space, but I'm too lazy to mess with it. |
