the great grandmother one is great, its my favorite one out of all of them.
maybe the portrait of your friends brother and the girl, would be better with more dynamic lighting. working from a photoreference sometimes makes the image look kinda flat (due to the flash).
but i do enjoy the girls hair, its really quite well done. |

Jah, that last one is pretty flat. It was probably one of the toughest things I've done. One of my first portraits where it needed to really look like the people. Plus I had to make up alot of. Thanks for the opinion

great grandma (four hours)
purple mountains (1 hour)
Tank thingy (1 1/2 hours)
friend's brother and this girlfriend (way too many hours)
Those are also in time order, the bottem one being the oldest, my grandma being the newest.
Photo references used for all of them; but the first and last are original compositions created from a number of different photos and my imagination . Jah, critique...

You know, I like your art so much, that I think I hesitate to respond out of pure jealousy.
(I think that sums it up) |

Hey, thanks for the comments guys . You should meet my great grandma. She's a real character. At 92 years old, she's one of the most lively people you'll ever talk to .
