I like it, though I think that the picture could benefit from a more dramatic lighting. Generally (unless it's your style) I'd suggest straying away from the line a bit. I think it is overemphasized in some areas, making it hard to distinguish between line and shadow.
Still, I really like it, especially the face and the helmet. |

the drawing is very inconsistent. his left hand is way too long compaired to the one holding the sword. his head looks too big, i mean he'd fall over. and why is the tip of his nose red?
your colors and mood are good though. |

Thanks n8-
Peter- good observation. It has a sort of outlined coloring book look. I'll work on that. I'm wondering does the pose work- I'm worried that it is too stiff. |

yeah, the pose is somewhat stiff. i think it's the legs. you might consider bending the right knee to get the right foot more under the body. nice gritty colors and line style, very fitting for a goblin. my main crit is that his armor looks like it has a mirror polish on it... the highlights are very bright. you might consider reducing the contrast on the armor, or greying it out, or adding some brown/orange spots of rust, some old blackish spatters of blood, or something along those lines.
-matt, too tired for the shift key. |
