It's the 'Mad Hatter!' Is today his unbirthday??

Cool painting. I like your choice of colours and his eyes definitely have an insane quality. Only crit I have is that I think you should a bit of his right ear visible too.

woot great pic! ive always wanted to do an alice in wonderland type picture but never got around to it anyway i really like the approach you took, making have an creepy insane feel to it...... oh yeah
btw.... even after playing the Alice game AND thinking it over more.. *WHY IS A RAVEN LIKE A WRITING DESK?*

I love what you have so far, but the body is cheapening the look. Give it a more dramatic pose, I was thinking of something like this:

Sorry, that reply came out harsher than it was intended to. I REALLY love the picture. The colors are perfect, and I love the technique you used. It's very comfortable to look at, except the body is making it feel a little awkward. Still, I really like it.

I just wanted to add my very worthless Canadian two cents...

I entirely concur with what Tinusch did/said. The body does give the image an awkward balance. With the body immersed almost completely in shadow like Tinusch illustrated, the effect becomes much more dramatic and less confusing to the eye.

Also like Tinusch, I love the pic. Your technique looks REALLY confident, and your colours and values blend seamlessly with each other. Very skilful all around.

Uhhh... to sum it up read Tinusch's reply.

Tinusch man, that totally rocks. i agree totally about the body. something wasnt sitting right with me on it, till i saw your thumbnail. that just works so much better. thanks.
