Also, in my browser at least, it's darkened and loses some detail.
Open it in a graphics app with a good magnify tool and zoom in really close. Then you can easily notice the strokes, underpainting, and such. |

Vampire, If you painted that lion picture, i like it very much, I think the textures work well except for the individual pixels. They're a little stark. |

It's not a photo, there are no weird filters. It is the same picture blurred then gone over with brushes of different textures. As I said before there is no actual process of any kind being presented. That was made for the exclusive purpose of confusing a specific person.
If you want flat atificial looking stuff you could atare at this or this. |

No, not at all. All done in painter, the only time it went through Photoshop was to be turned into a jpeg.
It is heavily photoreferenced though, so it does have a photo aspect ratio (or whatever the term is) instead of a "from life" one. |
