Sorry if what I'm going to ask about is a dumb question, but I just want some help with my browser trouble.
My problem is pretty minor, but I have tried several things for many days but they didn't help at all. I was using IE 5.5, and one day I realized when I go to some site that uses white for background, the texts on it are not visible. Usually it happens when I change the Windows colour settings, and if that's the case, when I select the texts with my mouse, the selected area would be dark and the texts would be white. But now when I click and drag on the area where the texts are supposed to be, it just shows a dark background.
This doesn't happen on every websites, just a few, but it's really annoying. Can anyone please help me? Thanks.. |

Hmmm. I've heard turning down video acceleration in your display properties a notch or two can sometimes solve weird browser display properties. Especially on shitty ATI video cards like mine. As can upgrading your drivers.
I had a similar problem in Opera, and a reboot fixed it.
Also, make sure you aren't viewing webpages with some bizarre custom font colors. That's all I can think of. Pretty half assed suggestions, but I didn't want to see this one sink away unanswered |

Thanks a lot, well.. I have yet to try updating my drivers. For now, I can see the words on certain websites by ignoring font style specified on page.
I think it is caused by my video card, because when I used Opera to view the same page, the same thing happened. For some reason, I think Opera is exactly the same as IE, except with some odd features added here and there.
Thanks for your advice. |
