me likes the rock and tree the most.
I wonder if the two who originaly had the idea (gecko and janne-right?)
finished their pics.?
I only saw them doing up to 130 or something.
Someone has a link?
Everybody starts so enthusiastic but soon one become lazy...me too

Pretty good, Anthony. Sorry for the lack of crits.
By the way, where and what is this 500 list? |

Hey guys, thanks for the encouragement! It's a tall task, but I feel up to it, doing 5/night I'm pacing myself. I'll only stop if I get a big freelance gig, or the call from ILM or somewhere ;] Here're tonight's pics. Tough topics again, because of how much anatomy is involved in animals. The fire one took 4 minutes, the others went the full 10.

I'm thinking I might give more thought to what I'm gonna paint before I start-will probably help me out in getting more interesting pieces. Also, I need to pick my cursed light sources before I start, that'll save mucho time!

Those are great. I feel humbled now, having started doing the 500 list a few days ago and having produced nothing better than this: http://www.sijun.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=002257
Anyways, I have to agree that just a tiny bit more detailing would help the pictures a lot. Just add 2 minutes of detailing to the 10 minutes you spend on each piece and these will rock the world. |

Nice job, interesting stuff. Only ten minutes per pic too! I really liked the 'mountgoat' pic. |

Hey Anthony! Nice to see your still doing art! You still in Orlando? Not sure if you remember me, back in the day you had your antsin3d stuff doing lightwave and we talked a few times, I had a 3d-grafix.com website.. I'm attending art college now at the ripe old age of 29.. I'm gonna get good damnit! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

OK, we're up to 50! The two ship ones I spent more than 10 minutes on, but the last three are all 10 minuters. Trying to focus on the more important stuff, like defining form, and really thinking about the shapes and color values.

I'm really happy with how the wedding one came out, and these two are nice too. I give all the credit to Spooge, he made me think about the basic shapes first. Thanks Craig! I've gotta keep pushing myself, I have a lot of catching up to do.

Thought I was gone didn't ya? :] I just decided to take some time with some, go fast on others. The first and the last in this batch were 10 minuters, the middle ones 30-45 minutes. The desert one was a paint because I spent all my time working out perspective and keeping edges clean(so it's sparse).
And the full rez of the humid and water cities:
