This is in pencil and marker. It is about as done as its gonna get, but I will still take suggestions for improvement. It is for my sketchbook in my drawing I class. First time I used marker in my drawing.
Any comments/crits would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

ok. here's a critique. you need to learn how to iron. you see the wrinkle in the collar? sheesh.

as for the sketch, looks very good. are those prismacolor markers?

"Trompe Loi" i believe is the French for "fool the eye."

Also, a critique:

Try to go darker, if that is the shirt below the drawing you drew, then it is a darker shirt. But also going darker gives you a greater oppertunity to create better depth and weight. Its something my "rendering" proff always used to say, " its looking good, but go darker."

its funny because he had tinted glasses and he looked like he was always wearing sunglasses.

not sure how far you've gotten with color either so i'll hold off on that.

It is very nice though and it is really starting to pop out of the page, cloth is sooo much fun, i always liked Durer for his cloth.

I like it a lot !!!

Just one comment: the perspective of the hanger looks a bit strage.

Anyway, it's very good !

It is "trompe l'oeil" where 'oeil' means eye
The pic fooled me too in the first place .. really photo realistic. Nice work.

yO, nope his name isn't Greene it is McDonald. He teaches at Kendall College of Art and Design (now part of Ferris State College).

And thanks kratul for the correct spelling of trompe l'oeil, I'm just lazy sometimes (particularly with spelling).
