Here's my first digital pic. I know I got lazy with the backdrop, so there's only a basic gradient. I didn't put much detail to the piece, bcoz I got bored with it after a while. Doesn't look exactly like GWB, but who cares. C&C are welcome.

the pose is good, but the browns and greens in the skin tone make him look undead

Vesuvius, you're quite right. He does sort of look undead, doesn't he? Maybe he really is... . Thanks for the comment.

his neck looks too wrinkled, like he's wearing a rubber mask.

Ok... I tried to soften the neck up a bit, and also reduce the effect of those green and brown tones which gave the undead look. Let me know if I worsened it or improved it. I appreciate any comments, since I'm just starting out.

i like it overall... the second version fixed the neck, but it could still use some work. skintones look a little better but they need to be lightened up a bit too

Fair point, geoman2k , I guess it's just my style to use dark tones. However, I replaced the old pic with a new one with a little lighter tones. So check out the image above.

you're really making a lot of progress. I like it and it's very recognizable as G.W. Bush. (and yes, I do agree he probably is undead)
