Another boring english class today...was bored so decide to draw some stuff with my pen...i've just heard of "matte painting" so i decide to attemp this...and so i drew this cliffs...
So waht do you all think?...
btw...dont kno what matte painting is anyways...only seen lil of an amazing sites...
and anyone kno any good tut and linkz to "matte painting"? |

as far as i'm concerned, matte painting refers to the art of painting extremly realistic, lifelike backgrounds for film/movie production. Its used for extremely complex bgs in shots that doesnt require the camera to be turning "inside the picture" (therefore a flat background can be used) and which contains extremly rich bgs, that either dont exist and would have to be too much of a pain in the ass to create as a 3d scene or need some other special settings (such as added corrosion/weathereffects/daytime/added/leftout content)
craig/spooge could possibly tell you helluva more about this....
