Well, that long stuff is supposed to be extensive, so it's "long" only when he is prepared to snipe...
Anyway, crit accepted. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Very quick and dirty mousedrawing of some of my thoughts on the subjectmatter. (hope it's not too rough
And this is the humanised version.
A 'bot shouldnt have to rely on such things as scopes made for humans, magazines for reload, lasersights and such...
Well at least so I think - for now

Bullets are on the opposite side of the gun. How is that? |

Hi Tayete,
Forget what those morons say....
Your pic is a good one man.....
Its better to see your own style then a bunch of goofs that just copy MAD! or someone on the top... Stick to your own and I am sure you will go far mate....
I bet if you re-draw it, it will come out even better I redraw some of my concepts
6 or 7 times....or keep it that way...
Cheers. |

That's the wrong way to enter this forum, if someone can't take friendly critics he's wrong here.
Watch your damn tongue. |

you're threatening us and insulting us and you've contributed jack shit. you're also a dull little moron, as is evidenced by your best name being based on a fucking keanu reaves character. there's a lot of issues with the design behind this piece, but it's a good start, however the way you are INSULTING and THREATENING us is not acceptible, fucking moron script kiddie, you download some acient trojan like subseven and you think you're a hacker? don't fuck with the people on this board. unless you were using an anonymous proxy or spoofing your IP reliablyon every post you made here, it won't be hard to track you down, especially since you gave us a location we can match up to a server location. Regina Canade. so fuck off. I can make you (yeah I know big whoop) lose your hotmail account on TOS already, and you can get yourself banned from sijun for threats like that. so knock it off before people have to take action. |

LUGGAGE: Thanks for your pic...it makes *much* more sense than mine.
Justa Fledgling: When I was in the Spanish Army, and some guns, are loaded from the left side (i.e.: the Sten sub-machine gun used by the Brithish paratroopers on wwII)...that was what I intended to do It seems quite clear I failed.
The rest of you I do not feel offended by the critics (that's what I am looking for), or the advices. All of you (in your own way) tried to do that, so I thank you all, but please, let's talk about digital art and let's ZoneAlarm and all the retarded viruses-expanders make their job! |

I think the drawing of this is very well done, the design could do a good re-thinking, but theres nothing wrong with your drawing style, i suggest you should look through any mechanic books, on car engines with images of mechanical moving parts, to include more detail in your image and give you some good ideas, maybe a book on weaponary too? if your into concept check: www.polykarbon.com and look through his gallery, he has a nice picture of a mech, or theres www.artbyfeng.com
One thing i find in this forum, is people seem to not really crit, and give good advice, but just say things like, its rubbish etc.
Well thats my opionion, keep it up |

I think it's cool as. A task specific machine done in a certain style. Very nice.
I presume he's modular so he can be attached to just about anything. Probably doesn't need to be that mobile if we assume his sensors are far superior to human ones. But this means he needs a few more I think; some extra 'eyes' for simultaneous zoom/wider angle observation etc, making his tracking lethal. Give him funky shit like satelite uplink too, for triangulating opposing force positions from overhead thermo imaging info. And he's a machine, so he should be able to heft a pile of D-U bullets too.
er..did I mention I liked the pic? well I do |

I like the whole concept of a sniper bot, ive had ideas for something similar myself but never gotten round to doing anything with it. i was inspired by such media as the amazing Ghost In The Shell animation, the snipers on that have it all worked out.
some of the basic concept work is fine, athough the whole idea of ammo being loaded into the other arm does leave a lot of explaing to be done as to how it actually moves through the body. if i wanted a sniper bot i would make it far more compact and ridged, the gun also needs to look extremely powerfull, as though it could could a whole through a steel door, look around the web for sci-fi weapons that you could perhaps take reference from. just keep coming up with more and more ideas and before youll know it youll have a great design. |
