Have a happy Halloween ,
The hand in the image was not modeled by me, it was an imported 3D object, other than the that, all is original ( well… a witch image on Halloween is not really that original )
Critique welcome,

Excellent fabric textures! ;} I love that! How did you do the satin finish so eloquently?
I only have a couple crits: her arms seem disproportionate to her body and the pose is rather awkward, really. The tilt of the wrists especially look painful. She's very stiff.
The orange of the jewlery... are they supposed to be a colored metal or are they supposed to be a true natural metal such as gold, bronze or brass? If they are to be natural, your tones are quite off. I would suggest a nice brass, in which case the reflections of the clothing onto the metal would be a nice green-black, and the midtones would be slightly olive. The highlights are the ones that are more saturated with yellows and golds.
Her face? Beautiful! But the edge of her skin to the clothing is a bit harsh. I suggest reflecting a little of the color onto the areas closest to the border of clothing and skin. And perhaps tone the far cheek's edge with a little of the lighting of the background.
Otherwise, I'm still in awe of that marvelous fabric. Especially the headress. One quick question on that... do you think the draping of the fabric around the waist would hang so? it looks a little stretched like rubber and not fitted or hanging like that fabric would.
Beautiful piece! I love it. ;} You must tell me your satin secrets! ;} |

Great! Did you use some Zbrush here?
Her left eye should go left (her left) a bit, and her forehead is twisted a little it seems, with regards to the face, twisted a few degrees right I think. her right. The shadow next to her left nostril may also be a bit too heavy.
Yes, that is great satin! And she looks suitably weird and dangerous... Love her clothes and the background! |
