I drew this after a picture in the newspaper this night (approx 2 hours).

Any comments & crits on proportions, colour etc. are appreciated.

I don't mean to be a prude, but if this picture isn't finished, shouldn't it be in Work in Progress? That's the forum you should go to if you're looking for crits on direction.

The picture is finished. I've painted a head study, and now it's done.

Many people post sketches in the Gallery/finished work area, does it belong here?

Yeah, who can say when a picture is truly finished?

I guess I assumed you were looking for direction on how to continue with it, like what the background could look like or what extra details could be added. Work in the "work in progress" forums usually gets long crits like that.
"Finished Gallery" pieces usually get crits about likes, dislikes and requests for minor tweaks.
That's my opinion of the difference between those two forums.
