Oh goodie gumdrops tis the finall I see before me.
Ah yes 'Oval Pupil', this hath been a sweet 1000 words in the making.
Taken aback he reeled in shock at the subtle and truely fresh splendor that lay before him...a *gasp* was to mask his quaking shock!.
As I forsaw this piece has indeed indulged my expectations.
"Tis grand!!" they exclaimed in sweet uniformity. "Let there be Light"...no no.."Let there be Roundeye!" they yelled in unison....
....and there was..
On a lighter note... fucking sweet!
*vanish* |

very cool as allways.... very dragon ball z-ish, and while i'm not of fan of the art work in dbz this guy still looks great. only thing i can think to crit is the left arm and torso... seems pretty stiff for some reason. maybe if the back were curved with the chest out more, and the arm moved down and back a bit so that it didn't overlap the torso, he'd have a better feeling of movement too him.
keep it up, and i'm sure everyone would love to see some more color stuff from you. |

Nice. I like the gauntlet and boot details and that bad-ass shoulder pauldron tucked away under the tattered short sleeve is choice. I'm also glad you took the time to give us a mountain vista to enjoy. I see so many that just depict a character against white (which is fine) I just like to see background. Nice work. |

I was imagining this as Tetsuo from the Akira comics.
His wild hair, tattered clothing, floating ability, and the mechanical arm (although the wrong side for Tetsuo).
Tremendous work, as usual.
I really like the setting as well. I imagine that he is floating up high in the Himalayas near Nepal. That would make for a great storyline. Tetsuo versus a bald old monk while floating over Mt. Everest.

Hey man, this is looking better and better. I see you fixed the head and the forearm.
The only thing that I see is that it looks like his lower section where the right legs meet his body is sunken in a bit. Might be the line of the pants going all the way up too close to his belt. Not enough crotch area if you will. It also feels as if he should be holding a gun or something. Just the pose. Hmm maybe you can have his left arm pointing towards something...Uh I dunno what though.
Anyway, kick ass looking as always. Talk to ya soon.
PS>where's alice

Still not done, but here's my attempt at coloring. Needs some cleaning/tweaking and finalizing .. but here it is.
Roundeye .. your stuff rocks! I've tried even just drawing the same pictures you've done just to see if I can even come close to your style, and I can't. I wish I could. I've printed one or two of your pics and inked them, which I've been fairly happy with, but so far coloring this has been the most fun I've had with your work. Post more, and keep me occupied ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

hey man, sorry if i seemed rude in my crit, i didn't mean to at all. i was just trying to give an honest crit, and what i said is my opinion and my opinion means exactly nothing. when i said it looked liek dbz, i wasn't trying to say you ripped it off, i was just agreeing with the "generic floating warrior" topic. |

My first reaction to the picture was, damn how sweet woudl DBZ look if it was drawn that way. There really arent any similarities besides the hair and boots. Its all original, but it certainly does have a DBZ feel to it, but one that is a thousand times better.
My only complaint, the hips are bit too thin perhaps, although that only happens if you stare at it.
Great work ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I know a lot of ppl have already said something about this drawing so I wont say much more exceot it is awesome...
I do however have some questions for you round eye.
What do you use to shade your drawings??
You cant tell me that you used normal B pencils for that!! |

you have one light hand roundeye. The only thing I don't like is the hair sort of just sticks on his head like a barbie, if there were some waviness to it or something, im not sure. |

Hehe it shouldn't be that hard to paint should it? I thought that if you had enough difference in values or waht not (what exactly is the term for light values?) you could just start a new layer and go over it with colors. Oh well, still a nice pic! :0) my only suggestion is that it seems his hips/ass is too small, like the legs are just stuck on. |
