I like this one a lot better then some of your others. The leaves look great I really think you should take some of that texturing you did there and use that technique on the armor it would give it just a little something ..maybe a little more realism . Good stuff and beutiful pencils ..pass the word on...since he don't post here :P

Kickass. I grew up (and still growin' up) on great comicbooks with great illustrators like Biukovic (a croatian fella - Grendel, Star Wars), and i'm really impressed with this. Only suggestion of mine is adding some colors to the armor, in my opinion, it would help the realism and the feel a lot. Maybe only slight variations (2-3) of the basic colour?

p.s. I want a copy of this when it's finished

This is exacly the style of comics I dig - your work is just amazing! But as people say here, the armor(s in general) could use some texture in it (them), something to make it (them) look worn (also talking about the other stuff you have on your web pages).

I was just wondering how would a picture like this look if made very photo-realistic (I feel like trying ).

This is the best piece I've seen from you. Very nice. It's not often that the lighting is right on in a comic piece, but you nailed it.
Good stuff.
Those Lai bros ain't to shabby either.

Take it easy,
MDM

Thanks for the comments guys. A few things about the armor though. I didn't do alot of variation strictly because she is part of a team of 4. Each have to look very distinct and when you get into the variations of tones things have trouble popping. This is a comic after all. Also, one that I have to crank out, so having tons of variations on the armor for four characters is waaayy to time consuming. But don't worry, all of the texturing on the armor and such will come in time. Just read the story and you'll know why everything looks nice and clean.

Oh and just between me and this board... the pics on the website are not the finished pieces. We have to save something for the book.

Awesome work, quick question, what are you date lines like. How much time do you have to finish coloring an issue?

3 pages a week. I work a full time job as well. This is a side gig and it pretty much takes up all my time.

Is the head really in the right place? (not that it has anything to do with your colouring)

I made a slightly smaller version of the pic Capn is referring to.

There is an even bigger version on our site.
