is antics even the right word?!?!?
Anyhoo, just reading up on the stories that people used to do when they were little sparked a little idea on my tiny noggin. Do you remember things that you did when you were little that now that you think of it (however many years it has been), it was sooo awesome and so good, but wouldn't look good if you tried doing it now?!?
For example:
When I was in grade school, from grades 1~5 atleast, we have this little square section outside, where it indents into the whole "squareness" of the structure of the school. This little area was the marble section. Kids from all over school would come with their big bags of "King tuts", "Oileys", "Cat's eyes", "Big berthas", "Yoshi's eggs" marbles, and we would gamble! No teacher would ever stop us. THere was this little dirt path worn down from all the marble playing, and if anyone was playing recreationally against someone on it, and suddenly someone said "TOURNAMENT!!!", you'd get pushed aside, and two kids would go at a game of keepsies for marbles, betting on big ones, or teenie ones. It's really hilarious, ahh the times were good. And if you ever got jipped, or someone took a marble unfaithfully from your collection, you would go tell on them. Ahhh, the good ol days.
And then from Grade 5 and up, the invasion of Pogs came. Pogs were pretty fun, but they were banned since too many people were betting on them. A huge gambling bust. But we still somehow got around to betting them when the recess patrollers we'rent around. Ahhh the good ol days.
Sometimes, I was around my old school, and it floods me with soo many good memories. |

Next to my elementary school, there was a forest. My friends and I used to go into this big salmon berry bush just at the edge. As long as we didn't actually go inside the bush, or cross the line between back of the school (only gr 3 and up were allowed back there) we were fine. Of course, we went into the bush to get the really good berries. We only did that when no one or my friend's mom (she was a supervisor) was around. She was nice.
When we were finally allowed back of the school, there was this tree everyone loved to climb about 2 feet off the schoolgrounds. Only my friend's mom let us climb it, though.
Now I can pick up my friend's mom! |

Hmmm. GI Joes were big when I was in grade school. Kids used to spin them on their heads(break dancing). Between me and my brother, we had a whole mountain of them. Of course, We spooged on model kits too(jet fighters, Japanese anime robots..etc)We'd pretend to fly those planes and chase each other in dog fights. The last time I did that was in 8th grade. After that, it just seemed silly(and I developed an addiction to anime/manga, and fantasy novels).
Remember those Choose Your Own Adventure books(Fighting Fantasy book in UK)? I loved those. They were like, paper versions of adventure PC games.
Now, I'm an adult(really?), and I have action figures, airsoft guns, and video games to play with.
Guess I never grew up.

Well, I'm new 'round here, so I doubt anyone cares very much... not like that's ever stopped me before, though...
When I was a kid, I had access to the internet, which was highly unusual at that time and place, so what did I do with the vast weatlh of knowledge that is the internet? I printed porn pictures and became the porn king of the 5'th grade. |

Hehe those post on candy reminded me of something:
When i was like 15 me and some friend where always hanging out on some streetcorner *trying to be cool and stuff =P...
At some point somebody's kid sister came by with some candy called "slimeballs"
Well the name was correct since they really made u produce lots of spit/slime etc...
Being idiot teens as we were we found this very funny... and soon we were buying big bags of those slimeballs...
We spend that whole summer drooling and spitting of a big container that was standing there.. the trick was the get piece of spit too hit the floor with the other end still attached too your mouth... etc..
very disgusting.. the whole street got covered with weird colors where the puddle's of spit dried up hehe |
