You have the right approach here, but it just doesn't look right. A good trick to see if the pic is well constructed is to flip the canvas horizontally. Try doing it with this pic. You might even want to flip the pic vertically - it's good to check if the lighting is ok.

Hey copper-eating aliens rule !!!! Is that purple skin or purple lighting ?
I'd love to see him in some sort of environment, preferrably a copper farm showing him harvesting copper or something.

hehe this is so cool. Mr-T I love the family picture on the wall. (had to laugh for several minutes) It makes it so....hmmm.......Human! hehe
And Peter....whatever (sorry can�t remember the name right now). This is purple light, that is a result of the copper that the alien eats the whole day (although copper is red/orange) hehe.
I will try to draw a backround.
