Nice job. I think that you've achieved a very pleasant color harmony. The backgroud interacts nicely with the figure, and it is very dreamlike to, nice.

Awesome man, that looks great.. only thing you might want to work on is the depth of the neck.. it looks sort of flat because it has like a strong highlight coming from the left. Maybe if you could smooth that out, it would be great:-)
Nice work man! |

pierre: thanks
Dryfire: Hey...you're right! You're so right. That left highlight is too strong for its own good . Thanks.

i agree very much with pierre. the eyes in particular i think are the only part that "need" work. they might be a little high, or 1 might be missplaced to make the face too unsymmetrical. most everything else is very very nice (esp the hair!). tho, having the bow just kind of poke into the frame like that looks a little odd. |

Thanks ! Yeah, there's something irritating about the face, and I think its one of the eyes (or both). That bow was part of the character I was illustrating. I didn't exactly cleverly integrate it into the picture . Thanks for the comments!

very nice work.
but i dont think that the eyes make it look abit strange. the whole head is a bit to big.
if you could shrink it it would look perfect.
cu and go on with your work |

I'm still doing 'weekly charaters' at my site...
Here's the most recent. I tweaked the face over and over, and its to the point where I'm decently pleased with it.
Or, if you're the portrait type...
Hmph. I would love c&c .

Thanks! The logic behind the eyes (I may be wrong here) is that the light comes in from teh left, but the highlight looks big and bring on the right... because it bounces through the translucent part of your eye, and is projected back out with spread light. I donno, I just read that somewhere. I think in general I just made the highlight to strong. |

Very nice! beautiful colors you've got going here... and the trees are really beautiful. The background could probably hold up on it's own =)
My big crit is the glowing thing on the right. From the little bit I can see it looks interesting, but I have no idea what it is... a sword? A spell? Bow? I'm not sure and I wish I could see more of it. It stands out so much yet it's not worked into the composition very well. I wish I could see more :/ |

Nice work!
I agree that the head might be too big and when it comes to the eyes I think the highlights on his eyeballs are pretty strong and perhaps on the wrong side? The hair looks good and the dawn/dusk athmosphere is cool. Keep posting man! |

Its a bow . Your right, it really doesn't work with the composition. It was more or less stuck in there to fit the character description given to me.
Thanks with the hair ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |
