haven't done much freetime work in the whole year
It's for an older Q3 model, has around 980 polys or so.
THe hair was done last and really late, didn't have the patience anymore to define it more...

wow. very cool, although on her back it appears as though part of her chest texture is placed on the nape of her neck... anyone else see it the same way? |

That's incredible detail there! Angela will never look better. She'll even be running around with a railgun in her hand! |

thx =]
The back of the head and top of her back are open to safe polys, since those parts are always covered by the hair. You can look inside of the model on those parts, that's why it seems as the chest is mirrored there. |

The skins are 2 512x512 and a 512x256 for the hair.
You can download the model from my site, i think i put a link there, it just comes with the original skins, my skin isn't up there yet.
gotta go shopping, will link the flat skins later. |

Looks great, but in my H to the Izzo, the nose could be a bit less blunt and more feminine, and the lips smaller. |

lips are modeled, couldn't skin them smaller, already did a bit but if i would do them even smaller it would look off because the skin would bend around the shapes of the lips. The nose is totally modeled again, nothing I can do about it.
Keep in mind that the model is around 980 polys. he did a great job on the face for such low polycount. |

Great texture work, love the skin tones and the metal work, and for a low polycount the textures sure helped quite a bit. Any chance you could post the wire frame of the model as well?
Keep on posting, cool site btw. Oh and I like the skins for the knight. I saw them on Polycount awhile back, kick ass work man.

Wowza! That is very good. Excellent detail, but then you do work at Digital Extremes.. So...speaking of DE...how's Dark Sector coming along? Do you have a part in that or UC maybe?
Hehe, very nice skin and model too. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Awesome skin man!
Could you offer any advice on how to keep the skin relative to the triangles when painting it? |

The wireframes... they have an annoying bg color but unless you want to skin it, it should do it for here.
Keeping the skin relative to the triangles ? i don't think i get that
Dark Sector is mostly on hold until Unreal Championship is done. That's a good thing actually as all the new tech and learned stuff from UC (and that's a lot!) will go into DS. A lot of things will be redone from scratch ...including more or less everything i did back then
hmm it's all Photoshop chip_artz, and 3d exploration to view the skins on the model and make the images above. Not sure about how long it took, 15-20 probably. Did it mainly afterhours while doing all possible things at the same time. |

Great work on this, StrangeFate!
The metal and the design on it turned out great. Where are you working now?
You just keep on improving - nice job. |

Not that I can do any better (far from it), but she has man-lips.
lol
Also, I think that headgear of hers needs to be worn with one of those neck braces. The first time she gets pushed her necks gonna go *SNAP!*.
Actually, I think it's a sweet skin.
The detail is just plain wicked. If you are considering any more skins then by all means, SKIN AWAY! |

Well i hope you don't have lips like that, like said i was mostly bound to the already modeled lips.
The head gear sure is unrealistic and you're right about the neck issue ...but we're not talking about a misc female, she's a uberstrong half nacked female angel warrior with a tattoed face and earrings with the size of donuts.
The headgear is the smallest problem =]
She's a comic character and like in 99% of them, coolness and dynamics goes over realism.
Nextgen - i post from time to time in the misc forum at DBM, still a great place for flames and off topic fun stuff. |
