Well, I've been away for a while, sort of lost the impetus to paint. I've just moved and needed a set of pictures for my room so I decided to add to the dolphins pic I did a few months back with two more in the nature theme, with the idea being water, air and land - pretty simple really!
So here are the two other pieces, the tiger and the parrot. Both are reference.
About 100Kb each, originals 5000 x 7500

very nice! i like the second one the most, although im not sure if you meant to or not but these two seem to have no lighting on them... it appears (especially in the second one) as if they were just pasted into the scene. |

Thanks for the comments.
To be honest, the tiger is finished - I wanted to leave it really simple to accentuate the animal over everything else.
In a way the jungle background is also less detailed than the foregound specifically to keep the focus on the bird. Or perhaps I was just rushing it
It's frustrating that the fur and other details on the tiger are not really shown at this size - I'll have to post some closer shots on my site because it does look a little flat with all that.
Thanks again

personally I like them. I think the lack of major lighting sortof helps the picture. I like the fact that in the deep forest where sun hardly gets throught the treetops that a brilliantly colored bird can be seen. I think its quite beautiful.. good job. |
