i like her glowyness and the composition a lot. interesting colors(esp. the tint of green), though a little dirty, as well. i hope you weren't telling us how long it took so that we'd be gentle with it? i dont think it really matters - whatever you post should be posted as somewhat of a masterpeice. no offence, please, i'm just commenting :] |

in other words if you aren't completely satisfied with it (IE: didnt spend enough time on it, or know a few mistakes you made you should fix it/finish it before you post it).
I think he also means that he thinks spending an hour on something doesn't qualify it as being complete... although i culd be wrong. |

Oh ok, thanks for the explenation
I dont think anything needs a dertain amount of "time" to be complete. And you can't really say something is comeplete or not, without being the artist, since the end effect might be what he/she wanted. anyway, thanks |

It's a pretty effective image for an hour's work. I agree that the use of colour works well, too. Especially like the chosen subject! ;-)
How many photographs did you use to make this piece, and what inspired you to create it? Did you find a photograph that made you think, "This is a nice shot, but I bet I could add something to it." ? |

juan: yeah, that was what i meant. it doesnt really have to do with time, but the more people put into an image before it's posted in the finished section the better. i'm not at all saying that this picture looks unfinished. it looks nice and complete. i was just a little suprised that you wouldnt take a day to examine it and make sure you were satisfied and such. |

Juan, its kind of hit or miss depending who is watching at any given momment. I have seen other people post photo-mainp pictures and get flamed to death. One time I posted some digital music I made once (music=art) and it went over kind of well. It even inspired someone to paint a pic based on one of the tracks. And months later I posted more and it dident go so well. *Some* users take it upon themselfs to (wrongfully) dictate and enforce what should and shouldent be posted here. |

Highfive, i think i used around 10 pictures and then around 5 brushes. It was a picture here that got me thinking "hey, i havent made anything like that in a long time!" so i just went through my (many!) images i have of Natalie Portman (i have a website, so hey i have to have a few) until i found one i liked...
Icannon i rarely take such time to evaluate what i did. I kinda work in the moment, take a look at it, and if i like it then thats that. |
