I think he looks good, little bit of attitude with him I'm not a big fan of the cartoony render, but I think it looks nice overall.

I always thought of Mat as having lighter hair, but i could be completely wrong...

looks pretty good, i always thought of mat has being in an unsure or aloof posture, and looking like he's about to get in trouble, this is cool rendering of him though, mat's definetely my favorite character from the series. the background is great too, sort of how i visualize their camps

i always pictured the young mat that way as well. but now adays he's the general of an army. and i think that when he's in battle mode, all them voices inside his head tell him to exude a persona of confidence. so that's what i tried to bring across. i'm not sure what's going on in this pic. but it's clear that mat and nerim have just seen something rather disturbing and while nerim is old enough and has seen enough, mat is really having to struggle to keep his composure. something like that anyways. as for the "cartoony render", i like to think of it more as an illustrative comic book method. so there. doesn't matter anyways. that's just the way i draw. as to mat's hair. rand was the only person in emonds field with light hair and gray eyes. everyone else had brown and brown. i don't see how people (you're not the first) can miss that rather big setup to rand being different than everyone else. and speaking of rand. go here for my vision of him.

i pictured mat with a brown/light brown hair, black works too. when i saw that pic, i was thinking that he was subconsciencly acting that way, in that pose. that's just how mat works
