Here it is ...
Some of you might spot the resemblance to Bin Laden immediately, and some of you might be led to believe that we've grown accustomed to putting this very label on everyone with a long black beard and a sigh ...
Well, for the record, it is him, but I draw him with no political agenda whatsoever. In other words, just look at him as you would any other ordinary Arabian, I'm sure there are many others have his features.
All criticisms and thoughts welcome

You certainly have a nice style going here. Without seeing the photo reference it is difficult to comment exactly but all the images of seen of the guy have a very narrow head with a long beard that eccentuates this. The black shadow over one side of his face is too extreme and isn't consistent with the head dress. You would still see his eye faintly and part of the cheek bone would most likely have a shadow. |

Someone should close this thread as the moron Lechuck is obviously a bigot.
and for the record it looks nothing like Bin Laden. Just having a beard and a Turban on does not make you Bin Landen. Just like wearing a dress and being 7 feet tall does not make you Denis Rodman. But that is something I only expect intelligent people to understand.
Nice use of light and color, but the black part on the face needs some work. Keep it up. |

Your only a 3 post junior and are already calling a regular user a "Moronic Bigot". Not a good start.

Im going to stand by my posts. Im not going to change it or oppologize for it because you cant take a tiny little joke.
All of the sudden nobody knows what sarcasm is on this board. When did this happen?
For petes sake the guy that started this thread said
Some of you might spot the resemblance to Bin Laden immediately, and some of you might be led to believe that we've grown accustomed to putting this very label on everyone with a long black beard and a sigh ...[/QUOTE]
I was making humorous comment that AGREED with what Transcendent said. Him and I are basicly saying the same thing. That must mean that he is a bigot too.
But I will oppologize for one thing. Im sorry you couldent see this yourself without haveing me explain it to you.
And one more thing. I would NEVER go as far as to judge someone and call them a bigot(or any insult) based on a 7 word sentace typed on an internet messageboard.

i gotta say i see absolutely no resemblance to him at all in this painting. which makes this all pretty ironic.
i like the painting technique (except at the bottom, where you kind of trailed off) but if you're going for portraiture, i think you need to pay more attention to the likeness of the person you're painting. even non-realistic portraits need to seize on some of the charicteristic features of the face, so you can tell who it is. |
