Beautiful! I love it! Everything about it... except one thing... If she truly is a part of that environment, the flames and light of the fire would illuminate her on the edges of her form more. The light might be so bright in points (armpits, neck near the hair) where it would blur the outline of her body. Just a suggestion. Otherwise, I love it. ;} |

i like it. about the only thing that bothered me was the lack of form compared to your other images. she seems too 'cut out' .. especially around the arm pits and shoulders. maybe the colors could be a little more intense, as well. overall, it's very nifty, as expected. |

I had to agree with Merekat. Absolutely love the work, but the hard edges made her seem separate from the background.
Did a quick paint over (don't kill me...heh) just to show what I mean (and what I think Merekat meant too)
Just for the softer illuminations around the curves of her body. Bending light is a bitch
Anyway, great piece! I absolutely love the dragon.

Very helpful suggestions, thanx. I knew there was something missing to help her blend in with the background but after staring at it for so long what it was exactly escaped me.
Thanx for the paintover Darkgarden.
Here it is revised:
Better?

I was just checkin' your coolness. :b
I don't mind at all when folks give me a paintover of one of my paintings as a piece of advice. It explains alot more if you can actually SEE what someone is talking about, as opposed to them just trying to tell you there oppinion with words.
I think they were giving you good advice, I think you took it well and your new image is even better. The piece looks much more 3-dimensional now.
I was seeing if you would be a cocky basterd and you weren't.
Did you ever get that message I left for you back at my post?
Anyway.......Good show to all.
Take it easy,

I don't like it as much as the rest of your work. *shrug*
Maybe It's the pose. I just think that she should be bent over more, and more arch in her back. And I don't say that because of obsenity. |

That's hella tight.
That's right up there with the Sorayam bondage paintings.
I really like the background and the tat on her back too.
Great work as always, no crits from me today.
Take it easy,

Very nice image and it probably took some time. When I first saw it, because of my screen size, I only saw from the waist up. I think if you had only from the waist up and maybe a bit of space above the head, the image could look good too. I guess the reason is that I find the buttocks hasn't been refined as much as other areas on the image. The black from the panties looks to have too hard an edge to it and it doesn't mould into the skin. The outside thighs have too much of a 'feather' to them and seem too soft for my way of thinking.
Otherwise the colours are fantastic but I'm not sold on a lack of reflection from the ground. Seems to be a bit of a highly polished surface but that is probably just my eye. |

Mm, indeed very goodly! @:-D
Only thing I would like to crit is the legs. They look a little undefined, and hence look like they're more a reflection off the floor than the actual legs. I'm mainly seeing it in her right leg. Perhaps some further shading on the floor or reflection off the floor, or maybe more shading from the buttocks, or perhaps some lighting on the heel just before the shoe.
Keep up the grouse workies @:-D |

Very nice. Like the detail on the tatoo and the glow you added in the fix. |

Beautiful as always =)
I do have one crit though... and I'm not sure it will make sense...
You know the area behind her knees that is in shadow? I think because of a combination of that shadow and her knee lying directly across the horizon line, that her lower leg looks more like a reflection than a lower leg. It's almost like she's sitting on a table with her legs dangling off the edge (where we can't see them) and behind her are some calves/feet painted on the surface. Hehe... I'm sure nobody else but a crazy girl like me would notice, but now that I HAVE noticed I can't take my eyes off of it ^_^
The tattoo is amazing btw... |

Hey there Fallen
I've always loved your work, it is very tight. Only one little crit from me, and I don't think it has been mentioned before..
I was looking at it for a while and it appeard to me that the buttocks (I'm trying to be PC here people) are a little flat? That might just be me.. I just thought I might put a little input in *shrug*
Apart from that, it is very very nice. It's very, very wonderful.
Keep up the wonderful work, Hope to see some more soon! |
