i finished this piece recently as an award for the mechwarrior 4 clan of a friend of mine.
this shows the medal of valor, that is described in that battletech stuff. most of the design is by me, except the fact that a cameronstar is used and that the ribbon is black and silver. (these were the only infos i got about that medal)
some crits and/or coments would be nice, as i have to make at least one more

nice!
i like the texture of the ribbon.
you seem to have some antialiasing-artifacts on the lower side of the longest point of the star though... (those white pixels along the edge) |

yeah i know... in fact, i never did antialias or cut anything out of a lighter background... no idea where thea are from...
it won't make any matter anyway, because the medal will be used as png24 with transparent background |

Looks pretty good, especially the ribbon.
But i think i see a reacuring patern in the texture on the metal thing behind the star. |
