Nice work! I remember what it's like to just use a mouse. My job requires me to use images and incorporate them into graphics for a different purpose, so often I'm tracing over things.
If you're ever into some money, think about getting a Wacom tablet (I'm not saying you need it because you're good without it, but it's fun to use more than anything). I got the 9 x 12" which is a little too big I think. A size down would be perfect.
