That huge scribblie thing kills it, a signature or something? and then you have Another! signature near he leg.... wtf?
the creature looks cool though... but whatever that black sign thing is is disturbing |

Your pics composition could use an overhaul. And not to mention numerous other things but i'm in a hurry, i'll try and write more later.
work on anatomy, muscle definition. |

You really have to get rid of that signature.. it's absolutely hideous.
I like the texture on her skin. |

The back ground is not good at all, remove it, add a shadow to the character and add directional lighting and guarantee the piece will be amazing, Look at work from people like Frank Frazetta, almost 1/2 of there characters are in total darkness, It helps give characters depth, and gives the lighting a sense of drama.

You guarantee that if he removes the background and adds a shadow that his piece will be "amazing"? That's a pretty strong guarantee.
And 1/2 of Frazetta's characters are not in total darkness.. not even close. |

I think that I does not have to remove the background because its gives more atmosphere to the draw...(it's the first background than I make...) |

Yikes, people here are surly!
Noctali:
You really ought to remove both signatures from your image. They kill the design completely. You might want to think about putting your name at the bottom right side of the background box, to balance off the "Frederic Scordo" you have at the top left. The big sigs truly kill the drawing.
The hilights you have on your aquagirl are the same color and intensity as the reflected light. This is a standard no-no. It is almost NEVER adviseable to do this, as it adds too much confusing detail /clutter to the anatomy. Why don't you use the pink water you've already established as your reflected light source? Try it on her front, on her back... see which works better...experiment a bit with this. It takes practice to see what works in a given situation.
Also, what's going on with her right hand? The arm ends too soon compared to the left/ the spear needs to be a bit lower down.
Overall, nice rendering & anatomy, and I really like your fish. |
