Um Ive spent a long time on this.. and its done. crits/comments/praise are welcome of course.
This is quite possibly the hardest pose Ive ever drawn..
I know the foot is a bit small and some of the fabric of the couch is off. Also the Gun is a little odd to my eye.
anyways I wanna hear what you ppl have got to say.
thanx

Groovy!
I like it.
The thing that bothers me about the gun is the finger. it' looks waaaay too long because we don't see the tip enough (foreshortening issue). (I tend to do the same thing => make the trigger finger seem to curl the same amount as the fingers holding the grip.
All of the little anatomy errors on the face etc seem to be style choices rather than blatant errors. I think this works well.
Just a picky things really, this is really nice work. Her outfit is neato too.

hey thats awsome! i like that style. has a bit of that 60's feel to it. which i'm thinking you were trying to get. i cant really see much to crit. cept that the nose and mouth look a little funny, but its no big deal. can't think of much else to say, except good job man. |

Great color choice.
The pose looks good except the head which I think ruined it a bit. The eyes and lips seem stretched and if this was done to caricaturise it's not expressive enough I think. I think the right hand would look better if it was unclutched, it would make her look relaxed. Just my nitpicks. |

thanx guys.. It seems Im getting some positive feedback..
Red Leader: I see what you mean about the finger.. I guessI was trying to get the gun to look like it was actually inthe hand instead of pasted in... hard.
Guy: thanx. the face is a bit stylized from the actual Cate Archer. i dont think I actually captured her as well as I would have liked.. the face was really a hard part of the pic.
-=Gux=-: yeah.. what i said to guy...
EviLToYLeT: hmmm I tried to do that but then I would have had to tilt her body down more.. I had already drawn the figure and not the couch yet.. I know bad composition.. but I think i barely got away with it here.. next time Ill think more about the setting my character is in.
anybody else?

Cool style and feeling in there. I like it a lot. Maybe you could've used more variation in width with the background curves... can't think anything else that hasn't been said in critwise already.

I like it-- the colors and expression are neat-- when I hear the "she'll kill you with her body" I think she has AIDS for some reason-- Boy Oh Boy, am I weird. |

wow.. thanx all.
Rhomb: truthfully the background pattern was just thrown in.. I wasnt really sure what to do with it.
JenasLotus: thanx. I love bright colors.
Shahar2k: first one? cool. I love the game too.. hate the Lithtech engine tho.. makes my little AMD chug along.
kos.mandis: thank you. It was a fun game.
Cheiron: Yeah baby. cool
NeoFun: LOL yeah no that you mention it... actually the phrase "if her bullet doesnt kill you, her body surely will" is from one of the songs that comes on the companion CD shipped with the game itself. its pretty cool. |
