This is a 3d sculpture that I am working on in my spare time, I call it the alien potato peeler:
I have a few other versions that show the progression of this model at web page if you would like to give me some feedback on the lot of 'em.
thanks...oh yeah, my first post.

Looks really cool. Although, the potato looks a lot like a rock to me. Where did you get the texture from? Maybe you could rip one off of a real potato? |

Groovy peeler! Nice to have you aboard.
The texture on the potato seems too similar to the one on the floor, giving it all an underwater look. Floor looks slightly transparent & over textured, too, maybe distracting from the main two elements too much, especially since the peeler itself is already so complex.
Don't get me wrong, this thing looks like it will be really nice when finished.

hey thats pretty sweet. i like the look of that thing. i agree with the others though. the potato looks kind of like a rock and the texture really does look similar to the floor texture. but i can't think of what would look better sorry. just mess around with it and see what works best. |
