HEY!!! I'm gonna reply!!!!
I like it alot....
Very nice detail in the mechanics..
Even though I'd like to see it a little bit
clearer....
Inking it would compliment it well.... |

I really like this. I like the kind of....gothic look to the mechanics. at first though, i thought he/it had praying mantis type arms, because those hydrolic things meet his wrists. |

That's a pretty cool concept. You gonna ink and/or color it? I'd like to see what you'd do for the colors.

Man I hate it. Which is a good thing since it's so ugly and scary. EXCELLENT as always my friend!!! It has a very inhuman feel to it and the hips set so far apart really ad to that. There is a comment above saying something about praying mantis arms and I can see that because the pencil lines kinda blend together, it's not a problem if you take this bad boy further. I think it would be a worthy effort to turn this into one of your wonderfully colored pieces, something ugly for a change. I should do something like that too.
I'd love to have come up with some of your stuff myself.
I thought I reply to this here for the kicks. |

hmmm. mebbe i will ink it up and color it. my initial idea for this illo was in preparation for a illuminated manuscript page. . . blocky, earthy colors, gilt edges, gothic scrawl and scripture all around. i'll put some more thought into it and work up another version to post.
thanks for all your thoughts ;-) i never really noticed how the torso pistons worked into the hands in that unfortunate way . . . i'll definitely clean that up in the future.
any more thoughts or ideas? ;-)

I think this could look really good in Brom kinda palette. Very pale sick, almost blue face and bloody red behind him, maybe even a bleeding wall. Something really sinister. His halo should be glowing and pretty (I think) to contrast the decaying evil that he is. His mechanical parts could have an almost organic color. Crosses, black on pale yellow/white on his upper arms and legs and chest.
Well, it's just a thought. I am confident that whatever you do it'll end up good. |

Either that, or heavy black lines and warm colors for a sort of stained glass look. |
