I like the first pic. Dripping with atmosphere, but I think it would be an interesting take on the idea if you maybe had a pale hand ever so slightly in the light, providing a stronger visible hint of whats happening here in the pic.

MK I've played the demo for that geme interesting, I'm currently working on preliminary planning for a game, but we are not sure if we should do it using tile based 3D .... did your team have any serious problems making those levels for Technomage?

btw the object, is it just the face, or is that a group of objects designed to fit into several tile's space

Randis.... Thnx
btw. diesen Samstag schon was vor? Ich werd auf der Maxon Party sein... da sind immer viele lustige Grafiker, Bier usw... okay, wir benutzen es zwar nicht...aber die Feiern gute Feste Vielleicht sieht man sich...

shahar2k:
Nope, it wasent that hard. If you pay attention to textures and the objects (seamless), everything works fine. Its relatively easy...you have a standart set of tiles you work with.(Groundplate,Outer-/Innercorner,Walltile) Then we made variations out of them. If you look close you will notice that there are two levels in the game with nearlly the same Geometry(Canyon/IceStage(Outertower)). On the other hand... we made more than 5000 Objects... that took long. But it wasnt that hard and its good for fast changes. No seriuos problems only one "not so nice" problem that sometimes some "cracks" between the tiles are visible.
The Face... this is one bigger tile. Standart Tile was 1x1m for breaking up the repeating effects we made bigger tiles. The Endingroom of the game was made only with 4 Tiles.
Hope that helps a little...
If you have more questions feel free to ask.

aehm...

mk

PS: warst Du mal beim Stammtisch da in Frankfurt? Vielleicht haben wir uns schon mal getroffen...
