This is a bit of personal work you might be interested in - not really like what I do at work at all - kind of off topic for this forum, sorry, being that it's not digital..but what the hey -
any thoughts on the painting style? I'm kind of calling it "caligraphic" but I'm mostly making it up as I go along.

That's a beautiful centaur. Do you mean that the brushstrokes are in a calligraphic appearance? I think they look very nice. Good job overall |

yo.
just like to mention that the foot on the girl on the centaur is, i believe, the left foot, while the leg is the right.
i know that is dumb, but i just thought i would let you know. feel free to yell at me if i am wrong.

I really like this work. It is very reminiscent of Rebecca Guay? i think thats the name. I love the posture of the lady on the centuar, but the centuar's chest is doin some wacky stuff. |

i like this a lot. even though my eyes were bit lost deciphering the image at first it definitely has style that i enjoy. colors are working well too. from figures that female riding the centaur is especially nice. is centaur's horse part bit too long?

Thanks for all the comments. Very interesting feeback. This drawing was done very quickly, and is quite big - so it was an experiment in being much looser. So yeah, everyones comments on the various anatomy - mannish figures, long centaur body, fool that looks backwards - yup, those are all pretty much correct - thanks all. It's kind of the thing I'm experimenting with - how little to draw, how much to just sketch in, and how much has to be 'correct'.
Timur - leaving out the faces is part of the story behind this pic, which is part of a series. Without boring you about being too arty-farty, it has to do with these people representing dead, or out-moded mythologies.
Molecule - do you have link for that R.Guay?
thx

Nice painting, however, I don't know if it's appropraite here because of it's explicit sexuall content. |

Marc,
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy this piece. If burnout hadn't pointed out the foot, I might have set this as my wallpaper. Now, I find the foot too distracting. Post it again if you fix it.

This is the closest thing i could find. its not her official website, but here it is: Rebecca Guay Appreciation. This has some stuff on it. While she seems to do more water color, both you and her have a scetchy-loose style thats very lively i guess heh. Anyone else like her stuff cuz i sure do! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
