Hey all, thought I'd show u guys what I've been working on and also get some feedback.
The following pic was created using derwent watercolour pencils and watercolour paints on 180gms watercolour paper, the background is a photo that has been altered in photoshop.
Here are some pics showing details from the above piece:

I'm not sure about the background...any suggestions for an alternate one?

excellent! I really like the detail in the tree limb too. I think the background works although perhaps you could make it a little less busy since you have so much in the foreground. But that is a minor detail in a truely exceptional piece.

| Thanks Kallen, i had a lot of trouble finding a background that would work at all with this image, i'll give your "less bussy background" suggestion a go... |
