...was the only input I got on this picture. It has really bothered me. I know that I must see it with prejudice eyes. Any input on this would be welcome. I really want to correct whatever is wrong with it.

The main problem with this picture, as I see it, is the lack of cohesion in the colour and lighting schemes. Cool and warm colours are warring instead of complementing each other, and some of the elements of the background are so bright that they actually seem closer than the foreground.
The waterfall, for example, really jumps out a lot more than it needs to, and so do the cliffs behind it.
The individual parts of this picture are nice--I particularly like that city in the background (although I'm not so sure about the red ball suspended above it (?))--but it lacks cohesion as an image.
The figure is also a bit confusing--Is she lying down, or standing behind a ledge with water on it? It's hard to see how she fits into her surroundings.
One minor thing, as well--the hair looks like a solid mass at the moment. It would probably work better if you first defined where the larger masses of hair fall, and then add just a few suggestions of strands.
About Epilogue--if you do decide to rework this picture a bit, you SHOULD submit it again--the editors are more than willing to consider images as many times as you want to revise and resubmit them. |

Thank you so much Socar. I had thought to resubmit it but without any input on it I couldn't correct what was wrong. Your help is solid gold!
Any one else have any comments. I really want to redo this. |
