Hi, i posted this image quite some time back, and never got any replies...
I'm not going to continue with it, but a lot of critique would be helpful, due to the fact i'm a newbie to Digital Art
Thank......
Oh btw, its meant to have exaggerated features

ok since i really dont get a lot of response around here either (mostly cause im just a madman) I'd like to take a shot. First off are you going for a comic style of art? Illustration ? Painting? Second what did you want to do with this peice? Meaning what did you want to convey or portray physically?
Ok now ill yell at you The eyes need some shading. The teeth as well. Eyes are round not flat blobs of white. And contrary to popular belief, eyes are not WHITE!! They are about 100 different shades of grey and white (depending on how dark it is).
The shading via the use of colors seems a bit stiff. It needs to be brought around more...fleshed out. Depth of field via darker and lighter color schemes can help alot esp with the right side of the face.
Although i just made a critique on it i do like the mushy blending of colors. Though its not really popping out 3d wise it reminds me a lot of a Van Gogh style of painting...though not as thick
hmm...im gonna just stick with that for now...that should be enough to mess around with. |

wow man.......really appreciate the feed back! Thank for the critique. I will remember it when i go to do another image. Oh also, this image was copied from a Leonardo Book, a section called "Facial Expressions, With Exagerrated Features."
I'm 15, and have been into art for quite some time, however, i've never had advice on how to draw. My art teacher says i draw a lot like a drafts man or summit.....
Thank for the help, never thought i'd get someone type that much for a lame picture of mine |

erm 1 thing...no picture is lame...no matter who makes it. Thats why we call it art...cause its an expression of who you are. I know what book you are talking about...and now that i think of it...his face should be a little bit more "squat" i guess you could say But werk on the other stuff first and see what you can get from that. HEH! And if i post an image soon (some year ) Ill be expecting a crit from you
OK im out
ciao
