Dhab,
I read you put in a new Athlon, I've got a coupla q's for you in that case
1) How good is it? Do you think it's worth the price? I'm looking to upgrade and debating on P3 or Athlon and wondering your opinion since I don't know ANYONE else with an Athlon (Of course, all us poor college freshman can't afford it, right yet, lol)
2) What kind of Slot is it? I can't remember for the life of me what it is. I know it's not Slot 1 like it was originally intended. I want to say it's Slot A, but not sure.

It was never intended to be slot 1, as intel won't alow outside manufacturers to develope processors for newer chipset mobo's ... the only reason AMD had been bastardizing Socket7 for so damned long.
Slot A, which is an AMD developement, and based on DEC's alpha EV6 archetecture.

1) Its fast, but i havent tried a p3 so i dont know the diff. As far as reviews go though they all seem to say the athlon is better.
2) slot what now with the who hey? I dunno about slots. i'm dumb.
