great pics, Rinaldo.. i love the way the green washes the first one, and i can't help but adore the expression on the dude in the second one.
something in the third picture just doesn't appeal to me, but i can't put a finger on it. (yeah, i'm simply being too helpful)

sear-hey=) hehe, the second one was just one of those doodles that comes out when you're feeling a bit that way. anatomy be damned.

Bilbo-Thx=) Hmmm, interesting, I have no problem with the spaceman pic, good to hear what other's think tho. hehe now you have me looking at it *tilts head from side to side*^_^

Hey I could get used to this. with only 2 replies it takes no time to reply to them. cool beans. *sigh*

Rinaldo, you're really improving with each new drawing/painting! The wood elf looks so innocent. Great way to capture a moment in time.

Your work is great. Keep it up!

Nice work as usual Rinaldo. I love the mood of the first one and I really like the fat space man.

There's a lot of new threads, wich is bad because people get less replies. On the other hand, there's a lot of new art to look at, wich is good .

It's late where I am. so I'm gonna just post this and talk about it later (maybe)
another try at doing stuff in the vein of childrens book Illustration. need to do more full blown Illustrations. not entirely happy wid it....but ehh. I still love the feel of it=)

other misc shtuff

did a bit of value practive after realising (for the hundredth time) that I know nothing about value.
just some quick sketches with colour. trying to get away from line stuff and into fully painted.

more of the same. I wanted to play around the the fat space man type character again. heh

got some sketches somewhere but my eyes are sorta closing on their own. I'll find them later=D

Oh, I really /love/ the first one. Very beautiful. I think my favourite bits would be her large eyes, and the tiny flowers. Really sweet eye for details there - those flowers add more than you'd think =)

The second picture is good, too, but I'm hooked on the first one now... *chuckles* I do believe that his right eye looks a wee bit odd, but maybe you intended for him to be crosseyed?

The third one is good in the way everything I've seen you draw is =) It's not one of my favourites, but it's still very nice.

I like them Rin. Although she looks more like a dwarf or gnome than an elf.

I didn't reply the first time I checked this thread out becuase I was jealous...

Beautiful Rinaldo.

The elf's eyes aren't even. The heads tilted to the left, but the eyes aren't.

I agree with Chapel. She's a gnome.

I'd like to see some action poses and images. Interaction and the such.

Very nice. I like the Spaceape. Perhaps I should follow your example and scan a couple of my thumbnails...

Farwalker-thanks=) good to hear that these are getting a bit better.

Grendel Khan-thx=) yeah, there was bound to be a sijun rush

Briareos-err finished version? all of these are pretty much finished as far as I'm concerned. some are just sketches but that's as far as I'm going take them. the wood "ELF" (^_^) one is pretty loose in application. but I am working on a style that is pretty quick to do (I am thinking for sequential art purposes). this is still not what I want. needs more work in figuring out how to get the most out of the time I spend, it looks a bit flat etc.

Setherial-=)

Enayla-thanks. I added the flowrs at the last minute of the drawing stage. I really need to learn how to a lot more foresty details=).
hehe the guy in the second pic has his brain back to front and is loving every minute of it. hehe. smoking too much of something.

Chapel-bah, yeah whatever. I am going to redo this pic. she is a small Elf Girl. her Ears are in her hat tho. gnomes have big noses and so do dwarves. I need to draw her in HUGE log. not this tiny thing. it looks a bit strange. but point taken. I was orignaly thinking she was a fairy. but those big elven eyes gave her away.
thanks dude, I am going to get up early and catch you online again one of these days. promise . (dont know if that's a good thing in your view but anyway;P)

sock-thanks=) yes I think it needed to be a warmer green with the cool blue greeens left for the shadows.

Seraphire-Thx man, yeah for some reason I still haven't got the skill for getting eyes lined up^_^. don;t know why. I know how to do it...just doesn't seem to turn out.
action poses are coming soon. I'm working up to some fully painted (well coloured pencils) sequentials in the near future. still trying to get ontop of the colour and technique tho.

synj-haha. that's great

ANJ-77-spaceape? thumbnails? where? hehe thanks anyway=)

That's great Rinaldo! I like the colour scheme for some reason. Really suits it.

And synj, if I was drinking milk when I saw that pic, it would've came out of every orifice. @:-D

oh yes! i love all of these. i don't know what i could crit... hmm, perspective is bit odd in the first one? the trunk she is sitting on is strangely diagonal or something. but very sweet stuff anyway.

Rinaldo, sometimes it helps to flip the image to see, if it is all correct!

was away the last few days so I couldn't reply=/

Brain-Thanks

janne-=). I am thinking now that the composition/perspective of the first one should have been worked out better. it was one of those things that started as a small thing and I kinda worked it up, but the underlying structure was still a bit weak. the trunk is supposed to be on small incline.

Blitz-Hey there. heh I kinda figured you had gone off things after sijun going down. thanks man. hmmmm...no internet sounds like a good idea actuialy.

Duracel- I am not quite sure what you mean by "frontal" but you are right about flipping the image. I have told other people to do it^_^ but never done it myself a whole lot. I can spot the errors in all these pics easy now....geeez I'm so stupid. gonaa get into doing that a lot more. Thanks=)

noco-hey=) thanks, glad you like it.

The first pic is lovely! Color selections are great. The girl reminds me a little one of the Joachim's mountain pics.
The rest of the pics are nice also.
yep. Good work Rin!
