Hi,
I was wondering if I could get comments/criticism on this drawing I did. What do you think of the overall design, and also, specifically the hula girl. Thanks!

That is cool man, I like it.

The background colour does bother me though, it's sorta like the girl stands out "too" much. took me a couple of seconds to find the info on the coffee beans.

But the text and stuff is good, just that very "back colour. Is it possible to make it closer to her skirt colour, would that work?

Just my observation, very good though, I like anyway!!!!

It looks great except that I don't think that the sitting position she's taken, is all that obvious. At my first glance, I thought that she'd been cut in half at the waste. Other than that, it's great. I even disagree with zero21 (please don't hate me zero21) about his oppinion of the contrast. I think the contrast makes her stand out more to the eye. All except the text.

The text is barely readable when it meets with the logo behind it.

Great job

she has huge feet/lower legs in proportion to her upper body..

overall I like the style of it though, except that, as already mentioned, the sitting position is kind of strange and the text isn't easily readable.

change the colors of either your logo....or the text...dont have the text blend in with the symbol...unless that was your intent(which in fact is a bad intent)...it makes it hard to read....the thing you want to convey is the brand name/logo...that is one of the most essential parts of anything a company tries to sell to the consumer...you'd be suprised what people buy based on brand name trust alone...but hehe thats what advertisement is all about....you could make the letters **ROASTED COFFEE** interact with the logo by...inverting colors...well...mebe not...but damnit make them letters readable!!!...oh yea an bring the ankle down a bit...seems a bit tooo high...i could be wrong...but other than that i think its pretty cool ...she could brew my coffee anytime she wants

Hey all,

Thanks for all the prompt and very helpful critiques. I definitely have to do something with the text, as that seems to be the one thing most everyone agrees on. I admit the feet are a little big, and the legs are long, but the top i had shrunk down, so that's probably where the anatomy compression came from for the torso. Its not an advertisement though, its just a mockup of those old style ads. Thanks though, I consider it a compliment More feedback is welcome!
