Okay...here's a drawing/coloring exercise I did. I know the hands are not quite right, along with other mild proportional errors, but I will fix them. What do you think? Yay or nay? And yes, the hair is supposed to be that large.

dark lines. if you're gonna have an outline, make it black. the picture just looks faded otherwise. also, make the lines straight. zoom in and make them look smooth. this looks like a sketch otherwise.
breasts are NOT shiny. no matter how many comic books you read. what is up with the eyes? is she an alien?
the hair doesn't flow very naturally and if she's inside, there would not tend to be enough wind to pick up those strands you have waving about.
i get no feeling of form from the clothing. perhaps you should take some time to go out into a mall or someplace crowded, and draw people really quick. try to notice how clothing folds around the body, and how when one is still, it gravity takes over, and a shirt forms clumps near the waist.
keep practicing dude. and don't be afraid to use layers to their full potential. |
