especially when they break.

and you need to keep your cpu _very_ cool.

why don't you put the entire thing in one of those oven bags and then sink that into icy water? Worked fine for our converter for the japaneese dreamcast which almost burnt a hole in our rug... =)

or you could try sending it back under manufacturers warranty..

although Im not sure about how old or even if you have teh manufacturers warranty anymore....

that's another thing.

since it has been self butchered (there are also previous battle wounds on the motherboard, from dining forks and such) i doubt the store will want to change it.

especially since i bought it with a friend-discount and it shows in the bill.

plus right now i don't have the time to spend pc-less time. =\
