Here's a cartoon style coloring of my chick (well not MY chick but my drawing :P).
I drew it to practise female anatomy/faces etc.. Lines turned out ok but the coloring is only cartoon so far. I want to try and make a realistic coloring for her too, but im kinda lacking the skillz.

Scaled down to 50%
Fullsize Original

You can checkout the making of this drawing on the WIP section, topic:
"Another nude girl...sort of..."

Actually, I'd leave the cartoony colors... it fits the style of the image. She has pretty eyes, and a cute body. Overall, I'd say it's a solid piece.

A few parts bother me a little, though... her nose, while apparenlty stylized, is not cutting it. It looks like she has a hole in the middle of her face... I'd suggest both making the shadow a dark brown, and changing the form of the shadow-shape... it doesn't strike me as feminine, and this is a very feminine piece.

Her mouth is the real problem, here. Again, I realized it's stylized, but when I looked at it, I thought she was grimacing, and she had only gums, not teeth. When I noticed those were lips, they still look like sewn-together lips, that are swollen and infected... I'd suggest studying the form of feminine lips, and idealize them that way, if you're going for a style... The nose and mouth are super-stylized, while the remainder of the image is rather 'traditional' representation of a female.

Her ears are slightly discomforting, as they seem a bit strange, how they fit the head. Maybe lower them a bit, and give her proper lobes.

I noticed her hands are behind her back. If you're studying female anatomy, don't avoid drawing an arm and hand... if avoiding is what you're doing. It's not like the pose isn't unappealing... it's just suspicious when someone draws hands behind backs. You are innocent until proven guilty, so forgive the mention of it, if that's not what's going on.

Like I said, great job, though. If you re-work the image, please post it again in this thread. I'd love to see the make over.

Haha i got the exact same crit. from a friend of mine, about the nose.
The reason fo the nose is quite simple. I started the image as an anime, therefor the nose, when i drew the clean lines in photoshop i simple drew a black "hole" becuse i filled in the pencil sketch. The "hole" is supposed to be the bottom of the nose, like a shade. If you do anime you probably know what im talking about.

The ears, now that you say it. They look like they stand right out from the head don't they? Well...POO! I was thinking of putting them higher? No?

Lobes? Lemme look that up in a dictionary...ah yes the second remark from my other friend. Same explenation there, anime ears don't have lobes. At least not most that i've seen.

Almost forgot, the lips. If you go to the WIP tread of this image you'll see that i've tried out a number of lip styles. I found this one most fitting. I guess your imagination desides.

Well, if it's anime (which I do know rather well), isn't her eyes about one million inches too small? They also need about 45 highlights in each iris. :P

Also, the traditional anime nose tends to be the upside-down V, or 7. My point is, she doesn't look anime, so the consistency is far out. Try to keep the look consistent. You've got the ability... keep pluggin' away, research what you really like in your favorite styles... that way, you're work will become much stronger.

*shrug* Good luck.
