This pic was made for a contest. The mission was to design new clothes for the heroes of comic called "Ky�Pelit".

PS. My love towards James Cameron's two movies (especially the sequel) can be seen clearly =)

Oh by the way, I won the 2nd prize at Pelit-magazine WH40,000 contest back in the spring of '99. The entry was 'Wrumbar' by Ville Hyyrynen (that's me).

Hehe, Mission Accomplished nice clothes and theme, you should win I hope!

first thing that bugged me is the little feet on the shoulder, they seem to blend with the jacket too much, it needs some definition. Well thats all, I couldn't be btohered doing a large crit. So just a quick suggestion.

Let us know how you go in the contest!

Fucking GREAt!!!! Best pic what i've seen from you!!! I like this so much especially 'cause i'm fanatic terminator fan!
Skin tones are so nicely done! It's good you used slightly cold colours on his skin.
I'm not with gecko about the nose perspective... Well.. If you look the nose very carefully there might be something true about what Gecko said... But nothing horrible!

Good idea and well executed painting. You got the resemblance down nicely. The idea of the pic would come even better understood if you showed the original characters (ky�pelit) beside yours, because not everybody here knows what they look like.

Gecko - I don't spend enough time (I'm a lazy bastard) thinking about the pespective when I start a pic and that's why there are many problems concerning the perspective in my paintings. In the future I (hopefully) get better at drawing (or learn to use 3D as a base) things correctly, 'cause doing perspective lines takes years and isn't fun at all =)

gLitterbug - that must be the greatest compliment I have ever heard!!

Staff Sarge - Thanks, I need it. You read Pelit too, nice. Ahh, the Warhammer contest, I wouldn't had any chance in it... hehe

AxO - And you're a reader also!! The contest's deadline was yesterday.

Collosimo - First I was going to make the feet blend to the jacket (like in the movie), but since it was like 2 am and I wanted to finish it as fast as possible, I payed less attention to the feet and dumbed the original idea.
I will inform you for sure.

Tepox - Glad you liked!! The nose is big and therefore small problems in it can noticed easily.

S4Sb - The reference excercise we did helped me alot. Thanks.

Sorry for bumbing this thread back to top.. I just wanted to tell you that I got the main price. Shame the quality in the contest was really poor compared to previous Pelit-magazine's contests.

Btw. I would like to know is anyone Scandinavian "sijuner" going to Assembly this year?

I got "N�in teet sarjakuvia" ("How to make comics" if translated in English) - cd and comic album, nothing special.
