Seeing as more and more people do it, I'd like to toss in some of my recent pencil art as well(as it's not as bad as my computer art). Unlike most others posted these aren't quick sketches though. Enough babbling, I'd love to hear any feedback, be it positive or negative! (I'm only posting links because of quite huge dimensions, all quite small size though)
Archangel Michael, drawing by myself
Reference used, by baroque painter Bartolome Murillo, original for display in the Vienna Art History museum.
I did this for a project in art class, I myself am in no way religiously inclined.
Original Size was A3(double size of printer paper, time spend about 30 hours.
Theseus Drawing by myself
Reference used"David and Goliath", by baroque painter Michaelangelo Caravaggio.
I did this in a boring class, reference from a small picture in one of my books.
I know I shouldn't stay so close to my reference though, I'm working on that
I hope this didn't hurt your eyes too much, and as I said, I'd appreciate any C&C. |

Ive only seen the archangel drawing, as the other wont show up to me.
Nice pic, but theres something with his face that disturbs me a bit.
Nice to see some Austrians here! |

about the Theseus drawing:
The hand that holds the shield, try to make it a bit bigger. It almost looks like the fingers are attached to the arm instead of the hand.
The rest looks ok, nice work |

You called me, I came master. Good pictures I did. Nice shading, but the head looks a little bit amorf. Try to use some stronger lines for form definition. |

Your pictures are getting there, but they lack a light source. Most of your pictures glow in the "normal" highlight places. Define a light source could help your pic quite alot. Also, the thing about "classic" drawing (michalangelo etc.) is that the figures are very round, almost babyish, and round. Try using circles to draw your figures to make your figures look more round. |
