Hi everone,

I have tried to do a caricature of Micke at the work the last days. It is still some cleaning up to do. Especially the hand... I wanted to wait until I was done with the hand, but I'll check that in later.

Critics are welcome, Micke has posted so many self portraits so I guess most of you know what he looks like anyway...

If anyone has caricatures of friends/forum members or anyone else laying around it would have been cool to see'em!!!

-Kjetil

whoa that looks awesome
(not micke, the rendering!) :P
My only suggestion is that the arm and hand that are in shadow look at little dirty (colour wise) Maybe the darks need to be a little warmer.
It's a great pic and I'm sure he'll love it

JasoN, I work together with Micke, and he has already seen it several times, so I'm not running any risks. Your suggestions have been notified, thanks for the crits.

Very nice--it's got a lot of life in it. I can't remember what Micke looks like, so I can't say how much it resembles him, but it does look good. I think you could use a little more variation in the flesh tones--a few subtle blue & green lowlights, perhaps--but overall, it's lovely.

I have a silly image/caricature of a forum member lying around, as well--I won't post the image itself to keep the thread size small, but it's here: http://www.gorblimey.com/art/faustgfx.jpg Heh...guess who?

burnOut: Thanks man!

EviLToYLeT: Hehe...Yeah, that would have been cool. I think Joachim is making one of me right now, which he hopefully will post in this thread.

socar MYLES: Thanks for the tip. I will try to do it. Nice to hear that you like it. Your drawing was really cool, you kick ass, hehe. I think you should have posted it...

oscar: Thanks. I agree with you, there are some seriously talented people here. I am proud to be working in Innerloop. We are on the lookout for new artists now. If anyone feels that they are good enough, and want to work in Norway, drop us your CV. We are looking for 3D artists with industry experience. If you also are a good artist we prefer that. We can offer a very inspiring working enviroment.

Come on guys'n gals, post your funny portraits!

Haha. Good one! Haven't seen Micke for a while now, but I can see it's him and he looks slightly older than last time we met, so I guess that's logic and correct!
I like!

Really cool, Kjetil
I got really inspired when i saw this earlier on. Great shading technique, and i love the folds. You managed doing the hand correct too(remember what we talked about?).
Yeah, i'm getting older, fatter and the bags under my eyes are getting bigger by the minute, hehe..2 more years and i'll consider a facelift

I'm gonna do one of Joachim soon, and Ewooz is gonna do one of Chester.

Olve: Well, Micke might not look THAT old, but hey, it's a caricatur...

Sear: Yups, older indeed. hehe.

Micke: Thanks. The hand is a little sloppy, I want to improve it. I'm looking forward to see your drawings. I want to do another one this week. (Maybe Ole Marius?)

PS: I can't wait to see you with a facelift

Edible Snowman: Haha! I can certainly tell you I wasn't aiming for THAT when I did it!

I did a caricature of a guy at work, but he got pissed and asked me to remove it. He does'nt work here anymore, so i guess it's ok if i post it now.

GreenPeach: My English might be a bit limited, I don't get your point..

Topeira: Nice to hear that you like it. Micke looks pretty much like the drawing.

Micke: That drawing rocks. But it was a hell of a lot better before you smudged out the linework, remember? The hand has a really cool pose, and it also very well done! I think it is an honour when people spend time doing your portrait, you can't get pissed over a painting.. Atleast if you do a plain pose with no weird sexual poses and that kind of shit.

And Kaiju, he actually does in this portrait, haha!!!
