Very nice! I love the tunnel vision effect along with the sandy background and "scratch marks". Deffinitely a mystic ebil magic voodoo look. The only real problem I see is on the second one where the voodoo creature has a dark circle around him that makes him look pasted on the picture.

Thanks people!
-[TrOjan]-: as i said, i made these pics more than two years ago... as far as i can remember i didn't enhance the shading in photoshop at all, as i didn't have a wacom at that time. it's all done through the lighting in 3ds max. as for shading in photoshop, it depends on what kind of look you're going for. if you want exact and lifelike shading, go with a VERY soft airbrush and start with small shadows and darken them until you think it looks good. i'm not that much of an expert in that area though. other people could probably tell you more.
Sharga: Thanks, too. I know the figure looks out of place in the second pic. when i was making it i wasn't very good with selections in photoshop. i wanted it to have a different colour and no noise, as opposed to the rest of the picture... maybe if i can find the psd files i'll correct that. |
