hi everyone. this is my first post here.

this is some story art for a game currently in development. done entirely in photoshop 5.5

it's my first attempt at creating a lifelike leather texture, too.

i'd really like to know what you people think about the image setup. is it missing something? is there too much of something else? i'm not quite sure if this can be considered finished already...

so, eagerly waiting for answers.

Wow, pretty big picture, you should have scaled it a bit before posting it. I don't have any crits, above that, maybe you should apply a tiny bit of gaussian blur to the noise texture to make it appear more natural, but that's not a pic you can critic really.

Yea, I guess I should have scaled it a bit. I just didn't want to lose any detail.

good idea on the noise texture, too. i applied a 0,2 gaussian blur and it looks a bit better now.

anyways, here's another one. i know it's another pic you can't critic, but i'm not really in the mood to draw or paint, so i'm doing lots of textures lately.

i scaled it down a bit. original size was 1024x768.

I hate to say it, but I can't wait for the download to finish.

I'm on a 56k modem and your image is huge. Since over 85% of the world is still using 56k (or slower)modems, try optimizing and scaling down your images. Keep 'em under 100kb (aim for 50kb). I like to see as many pictures as possible when I come to Sijun, so if it takes too long...
