Ok, so if a musician can make a remix of one of his songs, then why the hell shouldn't an artist do the same with one of his pics?
Here I've revisited one of my older pieces. The original was very static. It was all drawn nicely, but there was little in the form of dynamics or expression. Emotionally flat. This is my attempt to remix it, and try to get a bit closer to the sort of feeling and emotion I'd intended in the first place.
I've got to give Nick Marks credit for the inspiration for the design elements. Thanks man . It's good to try my hand at something new.
I don't know why this subject came to me, I'm normally a happy guy, really. Just a little return to old-school subject matter. |

Pretty cool. Seems to me like you have got the right idea here about the remix and re-birth of the original idea. I have seen the original. It was cool, but I like this mroe because it has some more impact. The eye is really good, and being a graphic design student myself, I can relate to the process of creation and the purpose of each element. Gotta love that SPLAT texture!
Nice idea with the scanning........ |

Hmmm... I'd like to have seen the original, to be able to compare the two pieces.
But apart from that it's freaky in a positive way. Seemingly random lines and words, pixels, noise, weird colours, it's all there. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Here is my earlier version of this one. I don't know, I like the alteration better. Sure, it's lost some of the cybernetic influence, but it just seems to have more energy and life.
What do you think? |
