I'll be posting more in this tread, but here's the first picture. I'm jsut trying to portray diferent atmoshperes. I kinda like this one. (I'm also trying to simplify my style a bit, to much Mignola for me)

Isric, you're great.
I still haven't seen a pic of yours I didn't like.
And if in this thread you're going to post more paintings like this one, I'm looking foward to seeing them.

Cool shadows, warm light. 'tis the way to go Isric-san!

I love the icy scenes you do. Got one of these coming?

Great atmosphere, I like the feel. The areas of flat colour work well as does the lighting.
Are they birds or bats?

The colors are very calming, the composition very bold, this has a nice "cannoli with tabasco" feel to it. I really enjoy seeing you progress as an artist (it kind of makes me grumble I can't follow along, though).

really not sure yet. I'm leaning towards a full traditional deal (painting, drawing, sculpting), but i also want to get a good base of design

Hi Isric,
This is really great!
Have you considered contacting magazines that use "editorial" art? Your art or at leat this picture is perfect for that "nich".
If your not familiar with editorial art, it is very simple, yet very strong "visual" impact.
(Everything that's in this illustration!).The color, the simplicity, the impact, the design etc.etc. Do yourself a favor and send this work to a magazine.
Start with "The New Yorker! Love your work

Hi again!
I just "checked out" your web site.
Over half of the work I see is perfect for editorial art! I see "comic book" in the other art pieces. Either way, you are very gifted!
