My latest attempt. Um... this is supposed to be Edgar's (the guy I drew last time) twin brother. I would appreciate any critiques or suggestions you could give me on this one. Thanks.

i think he would be a littler tougher looking than that. thats just an opinion thing though. also, the mouth should probably be a little bigger, and the nose should be turned to match the turn of his head.

I remember your Edger, I think the style fit Edger a little more. Sabin should be a little tougher and grittier...if thats a word?

Dont get me wrong, I like the pic alot. And Im pumped to see someone doing fan art of it on here. I would say you might want to really strengthen the Jaw. Realy make it sqare...think Arnald Swartzaneger <Spell) For he jaw at least.

You've done Ramsus, you've done Edgar, you've done Zidane, now this.....

The thing is all of your work looks the same. Sure the hair do and the custumes are different but the essential design element looks the same all the time. Still, this one seems to be standing out from your previous works.

I don't have any intelligent comments to make about the visual...but you know, like the obvious things like the jaw and the mouth and the general facial expression on his face. I think you should just forget the whole fan art thing and explore different varieties of human figures and then do something using your newly required knowledges.

edible snowman: Thanks. I'll see about fixing the nose and mouth. Just curious, how would you go about making him tougher?

Blitz: Hmmm....I purposely made his jaw (and other features) a lot like his twin's because I figured that they should look like they're brothers. I do appreciate your help though and I'll try messing around with the jaw to see if I can come up with anything I like.

TeTsUo is right. On the guy's left fist he has 5 knuckles and 1 thumb, which makes 6 fingers.. heh crazy good eye TeTsUo

Wonderful eyes! You probably spent most of your time on them didn't you? It's all about the details... The skin looks flat, and that's not bad, but with the beautiful rendering you did with your eyes it tends to look mismatched and bit boring. Yeah, Sabin's all muscle, but maybe you could find something interesting to put on his arms, maybe he's holding something....? Perhaps something that connects him to Edgar in your other work....?
One other point, with a guy that build, his face should have some muscle in it too... harder jaw line, etc.
However, it's very good!

Better, yes. His right hand's pointer finger is longer than his index finger. There still doesn't seem to be a definite light source--no highlights on the skin.

Nice job from straight out of the head, though.
